Let's not forget that simply having Lyme disease is hard on the adrenals - and if you have chronic Lyme, then it's even harder on the adrenals.
There are different types of steroids -the ones that pharma produces and gives to us and the ones that our bodies produce. Some will do well on the low dose pharma ones meant to treat things like adrenals issues, a DHEA deficiency and other things - and some don't do well with the pharma version of these things and have to seek out the natural forms of these steroids - like me.
So if you are one a pharma type of medication and aren't doing well, find the natural version of it and see how you do - you can always go back to the pharma type if it works better.
I'm on natural DHEA, Armor thyroid (a natural form), a natural adrenal med and a natural support for menopause that has wild yam and other things in it that help support my body. I know that these things are all working well for me as I'm improving and I'm kind to hubby.
Roxie, keep trying different combinations of things (that are safe to combine, of course) until you find something that works for you. One thing I've discovered about
this is that only rarely do you find two people that do the exact same things to help them get to sleep.
