Swollen lymphnodes

The lymphs get overwhelmed when the treatment/detox balance gets off. Try dry brushing—it is one of the best things you can do for swollen lymphs.

My lymphs were swollen throughout my teen years and through my 20s. Turns out, I have had high virus titers for most of my life. If you think you might also have viruses (very commonly part of the tick infections) you should talk w/ your LLMD about an antiviral protocol. It is too much work for your immune and other body symptoms to be dealing with viruses and the lyme & co. at the same time. My LLMD treated viruses for 3-4 months before starting me on my lyme & co. treatment - thankfully, or I would likely not be here. ;)

I was on antiviral Rx (valcyclovir, acyclovir) for almost a year, which I think is also hard on the system. I recently spoke w/ my LLMD about going off and substituting with a more natural remedy. Not sure what that's going to be yet but will post when I find out.

My first appt w/ my LLMD consisted of a discussion about testing me for about 6 different viruses. I had high levels (titers), or reactivated or was positive for 4 of them. My immune system was just buried fighting off way too much.

So, if you're already dry brushing, I would be suspicious that you might be struggling with a virus or two.

I am doing OK—thanks for asking. ;) Spent Christmas eve in the ER with another GI episode but it turns out it is a large stone in the neck area of the gallbladder… so, not good but thrilled to finally know what is going on! Otherwise, not doing too bad the past week or so. Glad to have the weekend to sleep.

Sorry to hear about the gallstones, but at least you know what was causing you that pain and you can now fix it.

I'll bring it up to my next visit. Very interesting. Right before I started to get very sick I had an hsv outbreak on my upper thigh. I never knew I had it but just like lyme it came to surface when my immune system was at its lowest. I believe I was tested for Epstein Barr. In any case it's something to bring up to my LLMD.

Just my 2 cents - tindamax is an antibiotic and will not address viral infection. If you are noticing swollen lymph nodes after starting tindamax this probably means that it is causing bacterial die-off, the residues of which are shunted to the lymph nodes for elimination. If die-off and toxins are being produced faster than your body can eliminate them from the lymph system you will notice a back up (swelling).

But Pirouette is right. The immune system addressing all kinds of infection (bacterial, viral, fungal) can produce lymph back up and swelling if you aren't detoxing fast enough. Antibiotics will increase die-off of bacteria, anti-virals will increase die-off of viruses, etc.

I had significant lymph swelling under my arms when I started treating bartonella with herbs. For me, swelling lasted for a month or so, but gradually resolved. Tindamax is a lot stronger than most herbs, so your die-off may be stronger than one produced by herbs.
