Sorry to hear about your reaction! blech
Well, if indeed the sugar lured the lyme out to feed, maybe they got zapped with the abx you're taking.
Ahhh...wouldn't that be wonderful - we could eat whatever we want if that really worked lol Yeah, yeah, I know sugar causes inflammation and all that but, dang ;)
I'd cheated with some chocolate a couple of months ago and just had an overall feeling of yuck.
And, while I was such a good girl at first with not eating the 10 different kinds of Christmas cookies I baked, I found myself succumbing to temptation on Christmas Eve....and then Christmas Day....and a couple of times after that :( I didn't feel like I did when I ate the chocolate for whatever reason and there is chocolate in a few of the recipes.
On Christmas I received my usual email from LabCorp to notify me about my latest-greatest thyroid labs being available on their patient portal. Turns out my thyroid had gone low (which historically brings on sugar cravings).
Now that I'm about 10 days into the MUCH needed T3 dose increase, the cravings have subsided.
I am guilty of occasionally munching on organic popcorn and did so again last night. After a day with only 1-2 VERY occasional and almost undetectable symptoms yesterday, I had an increase in the buzzing and poking sensations that seem to be prevalent these days along with a muscle twitch.
Now, the evening is usually when my symptoms are more prevalent anyway so who knows?
Oh well....back to the Lyme grind - right? ;)
