testing on or off abx

I have my first appt. with LLMD on Jan. 8. I will be testing with Igenex.

10/27/14 I began 25 days of 200mgs oral doxy ending on 11/21/14. (My pcp is not lyme literate.) The abx helped with my symptoms but I ended up herxing badly for a few weeks.

Im now back with full lyme symptoms ( no wonder) specifically pretty bad meningitis.

Being that my appt. with LLMD is Jan. 8, and I then have to wait for the Igenex testing, I don't want to go that long without abx.

I think my Pcp will give me more oral doxy, so my question is, if Im taking the doxy at the time of my Igenex testing will it interfere with my results?

Actually, Igenex suggests that patients be off of abx for 3 weeks I believe. Call your LLMD's office and ask!!

And remember, Jan 8th is only 4 days away! You can talk to your LLMD directly then and see what the plan is!
