Wow. I'm having my second babesia herx since focusing my treatment on co-infections, and it is a doozy. I'm having night sweats that leave me so soaking wet I have to change my clothes in the middle of the night. One night I had to change my wet clothes twice! This is my second babesia herx, and it came out of nowhere. I hadn't changed my meds in over a month (I'm on Bactrim/Clindamycin and herbals), so not sure what brought it on.

Has anyone else had babesia herxes come out of nowhere like this?

Also, I'm about to switch from Bactrim to malarone. Anyone else been on malarone for babesia?

And sweating that much is exhausting, isn't it?! Great sign that your treatment is effective, though.

Yes, I've had ninja herxes like that, but they do diminish in intensity, take heart.

I was on malarone some time ago. It was helpful.
