I have been taking 50mg a day for about 3 weeks now. It's hard to say how I'm doing on it. It's definitely doing something, I think it's killing some of those little buggers. Definitely herxed off of it at the beginning. I only started treatment for lyme I think about a month ago and I introduced this only a day or two away from 2 antibiotics, an anti-malarial and a number of supplements so I don't have the best control to compare it to unfortunately (and I haven't really improved that much in 4 weeks I don't think - maybe a little). So far though I would have to say that it seems to be a good tool in the lyme arsenal but at least for me it's too early to come to any firm conclusions or to isolate any specific improvements. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
By the way, my LLMD just E-mailed me and said that they had a number of patients that got a bad reaction from the hempmedspx site and that they no longer recommend that company (that was the first, expensive company that I posted about). I don't think anybody here did go with hempmedspx but I want to apologize for passing along bad information in that regard (although it seemed to be good information at the time that I posted it). My doctor wanted to know my experience with bluebird and I told him it was generally positive so they might start recommending bluebird to their other patients and we might have a larger sample size to evaluate the company with.
If anything the effects I get from the CBD oil from bluebird seem to be inconsistent. Sometimes I seem to get a pretty intense "stony" herx where I feel a psychoactive effect that seems to accompany a herx and sometimes I don't feel much at all. I can't tell if maybe the oil is mixed inconstantly (I shake the bottle pretty vigorously before I eat any), or if perhaps it's some other factor that maybe sometimes the oil finds more bacteria that are replicating and kills them, or perhaps it's how I time eating the oil compared to my abx "on" days or "off" days but I haven't found a specific trigger for these yet.
Sorry for the rambling post, I'm currently experiencing one of those "stony" herxs now (in addition to a cold that I've been dealing with for the last 2 days - makes it a little harder to concentrate). Let me know if there's anything I can help with!
Edit: sorry, this post was directed at Mister Mike. I didn't realize there was a third page to the thread. Glad to hear that you're feeling a little more healthy MM! Your experiences seem to mimic mine then where I sometimes feel worse directly after eating the oil (usually not for more than 30 minutes, and over half the time I don't feel anything at all, good or bad), but then seem to receive some positive effects from the ingestion of the oil. I think this supports my hypothesis that the CBD will kill some of the bacteria and cause a herx.
And just so we're clear so far I'm using the standard "silver CBD" oil. I bought the bulletproof bottle to replace this one after I've finished the first (it was on sale 35% off) but I haven't used it yet. I'll try and remember to post to see if the frankincense and black seed have any additional effect once I get there (probably a week from now I think).
Mister Mike - sorry but I can't remember if you bought the silver (concentrated) CBD or the standard one, I'm just trying to calculate what dose you have been taking. For the silver CBD that I have, I am on 30 drops (=~50mg) a day, I usually do 10 drops in the morning, 10 in the afternoon, and 10 in the evening. If you do have the silver CBD, 15 drops daily puts you right around 25mg per day. If not then you would divide that by 6.
