Biaxin experience? (side effects)

Hey everyone,

What's your experience with Biaxin?

I took it for the first time on Tuesday (750mg dose in 1 day) and I started getting a really bitter taste in my mouth.. Within hours, I was disoriented and fuzzy, and I felt really weak to the point where my arms and legs were shaking. Also had some pretty intense nausea, headache and gas. It was a lot worse at night.. I was unable to fall asleep because the nausea kept coming in waves.. I stayed up til 4am until the nausea went away. Today, my LLMD called and said I can take 250mg twice a week until I see him. The next day it all went away.
I'm also taking: Minomycin, Tinidazole, Bactrim

Biaxin helped me a great deal for the 4 months that I was on it. The bitter/metallic taste is a normal side effect of Biaxin, it went away when I was taken off of it. Hope this helps.

My side effects from Biaxin are that same bitter/metallic taste in the mouth. I also feel constantly hungry/empty stomach feeling while on it. Nothing serious though in my case. But it also hasn't helped me much either...

I was on minocycline, clarithromycin, and septra DS... And towards the end of that my kidneys started Aching. So that could be a potential side effect. I also noticed an increase in oral candida with biaxin so that is another thing. I also noticed the taste in my mouth but for some reason I acually liked that taste. I also noticed some pretty powerful herx reactions with the Biaxin too esspecially the first 3 weeks I was on it. Then it was just like taking another pill and I felt well.

I think Biaxin caused my rash. I also felt I needed a break from it every week or so - and I would stop taking it for a couple days

Biaxin set me to the ER after 4 days of it.

It spawned a whole list of problems, especially neurological.
