LLND appt today - feeling optimistic

So I told him I had started Houttuynia - 10 drops and herxed on Day 4. So I went down to 5 drops.

We went over my symptoms - nothing has worsened, but only a couple things have improved slightly since our last appt 4 weeks ago. He said that slow progress is fine - as long as I'm not going backwards. He prescribed Tinidazole for cysts - to be taken just two days a week. He thinks that my slow progress may be from the cysts.

I told him I stopped a Biaxin over a week ago and my rash cleared up.

He wants me to stay on the Ceftin, Sida, Crypto, increase Hout, and try the Biaxin again and call him if the rash comes back.

I told him I would like to wait a week before I add the Tinidazole - until I have added my Biaxin back in and increased my Houttuynia so if there is a reaction I will know what's causing it.

I asked him about Rifampin - and he said next appt we will discuss it - if I'm not responding to the a Houttuynia.

Overall, it was a good appt.

Opugirl - both of my shoulders - the top and front have been sore - making it difficult to do things like put on and take off jackets, dry myself after showers/baths. That symptom has decreased a little.

I wonder if the Hout and Biaxin were both creating a bart die-off which was too intense for you?
Some Drs do use macrolides for Bart - although Rifampin and Septra are used more.

So you had Bart?

What pain do you have - is it muscle, or joint , or nerve? (If you don't mind me asking)
