Hi Googlecrazy—
I'm so sorry you are overwhelmed with frustrating symptoms and tests. In short, YES, you need to find an ILADS-supported lyme literate MD. Many MDs out there are trying to help lyme patients but unless they are quite experienced, it's going to be a long road for both of you and you're the one paying the bills.
I would take a few minutes and familiarize yourself with the "New to Lyme?" thread at the top of the main page. This has a lot of introductory information in it that is extremely useful to people who suspect they may have lyme. And just because you have had a negative test does NOT mean that you do not have lyme. As you will read in the thread I mentioned, lyme tests are notoriously inaccurate and miss over 50% of cases, particularly because ill-informed MDs follow CDC protocols which are dangerously outdated.
Please post a new thread for help finding an LLMD —something like "Looking for LLMD in __________" and that will help cue others who can respond.
Also, if you have yeast in your stools you likely have a systemic yeast/fungal issue, which the Diflucan is good for, but you absolutely also have a local GI yeast/fungal issue and the Diflucan is not effective for that. And without solving your GI issue, your systemic issue will never be resolved. For the local GI yeast/fungal problem you need to take Nystatin—preferably the cheaper, more effective pure Nystatin powder 1,000,000 units. Most MDs will give you an Rx for the pills. They usually work (not always—not for me) but are weaker and much more expensive than the powder. BOTH are necessary for a systemic problem like yours.
You also need to implement an anti-yeast diet (no sugars, no simple carbs (potatoes, white rice, white breads), no dairy (has milk sugars) and an anti-inflammatory diet (no gluten, no caffeine)… And you need to be on a probiotic and food enzymes supplements to help heal your gut.
And, with your anti fungal approach, you need to implement a detox protocol—as you are killing the Y/F, you need to get the debris and toxins out of your body effectively. Lots of good info about detoxing on the site.
And… with any systemic anti fungal you need to check liver enzymes every month. If they get elevated, milk thistle seed and burdock root supplements should be helpful. (if your MD didn't recommend to monitor your liver enzymes, this is a CLEAR indication that you need to flee and find someone else—regardless of a lyme diagnosis).
This is a lot of info but hopefully the "New to Lyme?" thread helps you get started.
Please ask any other questions you may have!
