I see my LLMD for my second visit on Friday so I will get this all clarified, but I just received my lab results from 12/31. She tested me again with the western blot, co infections and my cd57 (immune system function). This time my western blot is completely negative and all co infections are negative. My cd57 are super low, but she said she was expecting that. These labs were done through LabCorp, but we're planning to do labs via Igenex on Friday.
I started my first round of antibiotics on 01/02/15 and have been feeling what I can only imagine is a herx pretty much since then.
So, do I have Lyme?
I really can't deal with another diagnosis come and gone and having to explain it to everybody. Nor can I even begin to think about
the frustration I'm going to feel about
having to take a leave of absence from work and feeling awful every day since starting antibiotics.
Also, previously the only band that was reactive was band 23 (IgM).

I'm in the same boat. You need to do igenex, for a better idea of what's going on. Continue on abx and then see what igenex results are. Try to detox as much as you can and be patient for igenex, results seem to take forever!!
You show very strong signs of having Lyme, especially the 23 igm band, plus low cd57, and herx reactions.

Thanks ela! I got completely freaked out when I saw everything come back negative, I'm still new to this. My next question was how long those results take! haha
For detox I'm doing Burbur, detox baths with epsom salts and peroxide, lemon water, dry brushing... anything else I should add to the mix?

Hang in there, K!! The tests coming back negative this time isn't something you should worry about
- the
only
thing that means is your body isn't producing antibodies to the bacteria. There can be several reasons for this. It certainly doesn't mean that you no longer have the infection.
You can add in oil pulling, and a binder (like zeolite or activated charcoal) if you are interested.

Thanks Travelor! My first thought was of douse, "did i get diagnosed with another wrong ailment?" I know that's extreme but it's been 4 years of my life, my 20s, being interrupted by my health and I don't think I can handle another wrong diagnosis. I researched a little today and found that they may be negative right now since my immune system is weak and can't produce the antibodies the lab tests for. Does that sound right?
Oh, I forgot activated charcoal. I do use that as well, but more on an as needed basis when my stomach is worse than normal. Should I make it a daily routine? I've looked into oil pulling, but just reading about
it exhausts me. I feel like my mouth would get so tired. Some days my fatigue is so bad that chewing food makes me sleep for hours afterward.

Igenex taked 12-15 business days. That usually means 3 weeks. It seems like forever.

From what I've read band 23 is specific to lyme. So welcome you are in the right place!

I agree. I had 3+ and 2- tests. If u test again do it at the beginning of the week so that your blood doesn't sit around.

Thanks for all the tips and reassurance. I did read that band 23 is specific to lyme and lyme alone so that made me feel a little better. Also, I don't think there is anyway I would be herxing if I didn't have any lyme & co in there being attacked and killed.
I will definitely let you all know how my appt goes on friday!
Hope everybody has a good week.

I would encourage you to try using the activated charcoal on a daily basis - it saved me from going through some really rough herxing!!
Oil pulling is as simple as putting 2 tsps of coconut oil in your mouth every morning and 'swishing' and 'pulling' it through your teeth for 10 - 20 minutes, then spit it out into a trash can. If you can't do it for that long, do it as long as you can - any is better than none when you are loaded with toxins!!
Be sure to spit the coconut oil in the trash though and not a sink or toilet - coconut oil solidifies at 76 degrees and will clog up the sink or toilet!
Be sure to let us know how the appt goes!!

Thanks Traveler! I will definitely add it to my daily routine. What's one more thing, right? haha
And thank you for the heads up about
not spitting it into the sink, because that is definitely where it would have gone!

Yeah, I can see it now - you can track where the Lyme patients are by those that have clogged sinks!! LOL!!!
I know that it works as it lowered my symptom severity just a bit more.
