Great news for once...
I got a call yesterday afternoon from the LLMD whom I have yet to see, I am on a waiting list to see him in JULY! They said they have an opening next week and it worked out that my husband can have the kids that day since it requires some travel. Super excited about this as I was worried about next steps in treatment since I am about done with the 1 month of Doxy.
Before I knew about the LLMD appointment change, I had e-mailed the MD who diagnosed me and prescribed the 1 month of Doxy. I forwarded the e-mail I received from the TBDA to him on suggestions for LLMDs and treatment if I had a MD willing to help. I had told him when I took the kids in to get tested last week, that I strongly suspect Bart based on herx symptoms from the Cipro (3 day course for UTI) and Monolaurin . Then, after I got the LLMD appt changed, I let him know that I would no longer need his help. In his reply this morning he asked if I wanted to go ahead and get started on Levaquin per the literature from Dr. Burrascano, or wait until I see the LLMD.
What do you all think? Should I wait or get started? Is Levaquin the best suggestion for Bart? I was thinking either Doxy and Rifampin or Levaquin based on everything I had been researching.
