Hi!! We just need to hear from you!! You haven't posted in a while or exchanged emails with any Mods in a bit and we are getting concerned as we know that you weren't having the easiest of times, to put it mildly.

I do hope that you are happily busy somewhere!!!

We are a bit worried Pirouette, I hope you are doing ok...

Lymedisease1, we are concerned when someone who's not feeling well suddenly gets quiet... This forum is indeed different from many others...

Does anyone remember if Pirouette was starting a new treatment or felt worse than ordinary? 

I hope everything is ok and P is on vacation or took a trip somewhere.

@Lymedisease1:  HOW do you know all about forums and people?  Why generalize, when you obviously don't know?

Has anyone sent P an email to see how she's doing? I haven't previously corresponded with her through emails, so I don't want to intrude.

The last posts I read from her were to do with the Long QT intervals.

From what I remember (oh no, here we go!), she had to stop treatment due to an issue with the PICC line, so although she wasn't taking any abx, she did have the PICC.

And yes, Lymedisease1, we really do try to watch over each other here. We encourage everyone to interact and be a true support system, which means when the Mods begin to notice that someone hasn't posted for a while, we email each other first. Most often one of us has been in contact with the person, so there are no worries - but no one has heard from Pirouette for a bit, so we are getting worried.

This forum is meant to be different from all the other forums out there!! scool Right everyone??? :-)

Traveler, I think it speaks volumes that a forum can be such a 'family' that folks are noticed by their absence, and that as much concern is shown for them when we don't know how they are. It's about people pulling together. It's how people are supposed to think and act isn't it?

P has been such a blessing to many on the forum, regularly sharing encouragement and information. I have been thinking about her quite a bit lately when I noticed she hasn't posted. P, I hope you are okay!

lymedisease1, if by "moving on" you mean she is done with the forum, no I don't believe she would disappear without a word to anyone.

Pirouette would never have "moved on" without saying goodbye. I will email her. She was having a very hard life and was not well.

By the way all, Andrew went back to school last week. Made it in 3 out of 7 days, but is out of sick time after all the time he lost in Sept. Plus, his tics and ocd came raging back - thank goodness though, not the actual raging! Guess that is progress. He's not doing any work, so they may fail him again and send him home. Wish he could adjust the sleep pattern. Maybe I should ask about hormone levels or is it cortisol levels to help the circadian rhythm? He's due for a blood draw (every other visit to check liver), so maybe he could do that too.... and see if there is an MTHFR problem, but I think his detoxing is ok, it's just going to still be a LONG road, so awful.

He has an appt. this Thurs. with the llmd, hoping for cyst buster, but he's been saying "too soon".

PS thanks to all of you who have emailed me too when you don't see me - I am always surprised and delighted and you talked me down from the roof! You have no idea - well, maybe you do! :-)

I think the others said it well. Pirouette was very involved with the forum - and with emailing with me - and for her to just suddenly stop - especially when she was having issues with her PICC line - no, she didn't "just move on".

When she is healed, or at least doing much better, then yes - as we all move on once we reach that point (well most of us, you all are stuck with me still!! LOL!) - but Pirouette was not at that point yet.

So we are concerned about her.

I'd like to know why you think this is so odd and why you keep saying she's just moved on? We care, which should be normal and usual. It's the non-personal forums that are odd in my opinion. We are all humans that are dealing with what is likely the hardest thing we have had to deal with in our lives - most of us anyway. Why wouldn't we form attachments and worry about others here when they suddenly stop posting during their treatments?

Yes, now I remember about the PICC line. I used to follow her and see how she is since I came back and we exchanged a few posts here. Yes, given the PICC line problem, she didn't go on vacation like that. I think she will be back soon. Lets not worry to much and keep her in our prayers.

Simela1 No problem, I had a death and a close friend to help walk through life with this week - she really needs me right now and it's taking up a lot of time as well as dealing with my son back at school, so I have not done much emailing or even checking this site. Not to mention it's tax time! Wheee!

Sorry lymedisease1, but I think you have mistaken the bonds that form on a group such as this for a 'question and answer only' forum. I am a member of another forum too, (not lyme related) that's has the same ethos as this one. Sure 'some' folks are looking for a one off answer to a question but I have had no internet access for a while and people were looking for me.

I may never meet any of these people in person, but the are my friends, we care about each other, we hope that the haven't gotten sicker, that's the point.

I personally have felt very isolated recently not having access to this forum, or the other one, and I would hate to think P, or anyone else, was feeling that way too.

She is already sick, that's why her friends are worried. If she's so sick she can't post is what is concerning. Or maybe I am missing the point?

Have you heard of compassion? Your answers are so cold, like you could not care less! When I was sick, I came here and when I got better I did leave because I got busy with other things but I NEVER forgot many of the members here. I also let Trav know what I was up to and we exchanged some emails, said good buy and thank you. It is also called caring, we care about each other and sometimes we spend more time here than with our own families which sometimes may not understand what we are going through and perhaps even judge us.

We are here because we know how the other feels, and because we understand each other at a deeper level than simple strangers. We offer each other support and change ideas on how to deal with the treatment options.

If you wouldn't know where your sister is, or your friend, would you say, oh well, she is probably sick and that's it, or she probably moved on with her life, or you'd try to check on her and see if you can help her in any way?

The weather up here has been the pits for the past 14 days with record snowfalls. Maybe she has her hands full with other issues or lost computer access.

I don't know Pirouette very well yet, but she has always been so helpful and compassionate with questions I've had. Always quick to sincerely reply to my posts (even when they are dumb questions)! I really hope everything is ok with her.

Just from the few conversations we have had, I could already tell she wouldn't just "move on" and disappear.

And unfortunately, I'm really starting to wonder the motive of Lymedisease1 on this forum. Does she even have Lyme or is she here to stir up trouble?

Okay, we do need to be careful to not attack anyone here over this. We care a lot about the individual members here - all of them. If they choose to only post occasionally, it makes no difference to us - we still care. But generally, when someone is very involved with me personally and on the forum, they let someone know if they are just going to be gone - not just drop off. And considering she was having some difficulties at the time, I'm fairly certain that she didn't just wander off and forgot to say something to someone. She and I were actively trying to reach out to and help someone together.

Pirouette doesn't live in the North East, so I doubt that weather is the main issue here - which is why she has gotten so many emails from me alone - but in an attempt to reach her, in case she was so sick that she wasn't up to answer emails, I figured she would take a peek at the forum as soon as she was able to - so I started a thread asking about her so she would see it. Believe me, she wouldn't be happy if she saw that it caused tension on the forum!

Tickbite - I'm so sorry that you are in all of that!! Sheesh! All of winter dropped on you all up there in a matter of 2 weeks! Hang in there and stay safe!

Gosh - no one has heard from P. yet?

I'm really getting concerned because I believe her last posts were about the long QT syndrome - and didn't she have some symptoms related to that?

Does anyone know/remember if she had family nearby that would be checking in on her periodically?
