ok....so here is what i know.
Personally, heavy metals are toxic, I don't want any in me. I don't care about a normal range for mercury.
heavy metals are not in the blood, but stored deep in tissue. Therefor, testing is hard, won't show up in blood or urine, unless given with a chelator (i.e- DMPS, DMSA), and then measured, usually in urine. it shows how much is being excreted...not total amount of metal in body...and is used as a indicator.
that being said, each med works better on some metals than on other. DMPS, as far as i'm aware works great for mercury, while others don't.
Were your results high b4 and after...with the same med and dose? how many times a month did you do? I hear it can take forever with DMSA for mercury, so, if that's true, makes sense only a certain amount can be pulled out at a time, showing similiar results being excreted. (i.e - meds can only chelate a certain amount each time, if burden is still high then it will show similiar amounts being excreted.
