I definitely feel much worse on antibiotics too. I can't gauge your level of feeling worse or determine whether or not you have anything else going on. However, a fair number of people feel icky on antibiotics.

I feel the same way as Utahgal. When I went off doxy for a few days and (and still on Bactrim), I felt a bit better, but I still felt "sick" of course. I could tell a difference though.

We have to be patient. However, if you are not making any headway, you need to talk to your doctor. Maybe you can switch up your regimen. Or it's possible you have something else going on or an unknown co-infection. I think the key is finding the right combo for you. Hang in there!

My daughter was with antibiotics for a few months and not feeling better. Actually worst. We went to 2 different lyme doctors an both found many other problems (leake gut, metal intoxication) and both said that if you have other conditions the antibiotics do nothing for you and actually make you feel worst.
They both said that many times we can be feeling sick from something else. Leake gut is something that probably most lyme people have and it is not diagnosed. If you have this the antibiotics will make you so sick

I definitely felt way worse before feeling better but also had some breaks with pain and other sx for a few hrs at a time. I pulsed my anx, was off on the weekends, then after the third week, I was off a week before starting again. I did also hear if you have heavy metal toxicity that treatment won't help till you lower the toxicity. Plus I guess it could be the wrong anx.

Good luck and hope you start feeling better soon. I was feeling pretty good and wasn't on anx since mid Oct but sx started creeping back in, now on rifampin for almost two weeks and I have felt terrible ever since, must be killing something. It's hard feeling better and now I'm back to feeling bad but hopefully I will get relief soon.
