new 2 this but am looking 4 some answers. I been having so many different symptoms over a long period of time and so little progress on what they r from. I hav had 3 lyme test from general lab that hav been positive. Here r some of the ones that r getting worse but seem strange: intense pain in teeth, ringing in the ears, pain at the base of my skull, episodes that start with feeling hot, sweating, heart pounding, shaking, weakness then headache. Sometimes I get times where I am so weak and out of it that I can't even seem 2 answer my husband. I can hear what is going on around me but don't even hav enough energy 2 move or talk then am so weak and tired 4 a couple days. This has been going on 4 over 2 yrs been having it more often. Also hav joint aches, deep bone pain, swollen tonsils(on and off), lymph nodes in armpits sore, ear pain. I hav been 2 heart dr, endocrinologist, pain management.

The first thing I'd suggest you do is start a new thread to request a LLMD (Lyme literate MD) in your area. Just say you're looking for a LLMD in your city and state in the subject line so people will see it and send you names. You will need to enable your email in your profile so we can send you the names since we can't post them on here.

Then start reading the "New to Lyme?" thread too if you haven't already so you can learn about Lyme and things associated with it. A good diet and detoxing are important for healing and you'll find info. on that. Keep us posted on how you're doing and ask questions when you need to. Hopefully you'll be on your way to healing in the near future!

Hi there, and sorry to hear of all these symptoms!

You mention your positive test results, so the natural question is whether you are getting any treatment? Most of these sound like very common lyme symptoms, unfortunately. I had many of your same symptoms, the scariest of which was the pounding heart, total weakness, and exhaustion. The heart pounding and weakness went away within weeks of starting on doxycycline. But everyone is different, responding to treatment & with different symptoms going away at different times.

Everyone on here will recommend that you read the very first post in this forum called "New to Lyme? Start here!" if you haven't already. You will find so much helpful information. The most important thing is to find a doctor that is lyme literate, or LLMD or LLND (naturopathic doctor). You can ask for recommendations here by starting a new thread titled "Looking for LLMD in ____" and put your city and state.

If you have had three positive lyme tests, have you been treated for Lyme? If not, that is what is causing your symptoms. I agree with everyone else re: finding a LLMD.

I'm sry I did 4get 2 mention I hav been on the doxycycline 4 times(one 4 3 mths) and I did read new 2 lyme..

So now the question is How much doxy were you on, how many times per day? Did it cause any of your symptoms to improve for those 3 months? If not, Perhaps it wasn't enough, or it's just not the right antibiotic for you.

Do you know how many years you have had the lyme, or an approximation? The general rule is that the longer you've had it the longer it will take to heal.

You will see that many many folks on here are on a combination of antibiotics and herbals or herbal treatment only. They can share their experiences with you and help you figure out what you may want to ask your doctor about trying. Keep asking questions here and hopefully some help will come your way. So sorry you are still searching for the right treatment. Hang in there!

Just because you have been on doxy in the past does not mean that your lyme has been treated completely.
