I just wanted to see how you're doing today. Are you feeling the symptoms any less yet? I sure hope so.

You guys are so sweet! I'm happy to report that I'm on the mend! I'm still pretty weak. But my sense of well being is returning.
I think the charcoal really helped. I took a bunch of laxatives and spent about
24 hours in the bathroom. I really think that's why I'm feeling better.
I haven't started my treatment yet. I need more time. I'm going to take diflucan for 3 days, doctors Orders.
This whole experience really scared me. My doctor has been chatting with me every day and pretty much holding my hand every step of the way. Along with a friend that I like to call my "Lyme angel". I couldn't do this without all of your guys support. I was ready to throw in the towel and your kindness nd encouragement kept me hanging on.
My doctor told me not to try not to be scared. He is starting me back at only have the dose of everything I was on. He is being patient and totally respecting my fear. He just basically said that I have a really high bacterial load. I have a ton of confections too.. so unfortunately I'm basically having to start over. But I'm OK with it.
I've learned that when I start getting really sick I need to stop the abx for 3 days instead of just upping my detox. I've enlisted the help of my fiance to try and help me notice when it's getting too bad. Honestly my judgment is not good once I get to a certain point. I go crazy. Just plain crazy. So if he can be an observer that will help alot.
I feel lucky to be alive honestly. I really wasn't doing good. This stuff can kill you and it does kill people on a daily basis. Just because we are in treatment doesn't mean we are out of the danger zone.
I'm still a little puzzled as to why this happened.... I don't really understand what happened inside of my body to provoke such anice intense reaction. My doctor says yeast, flu virus, flare, and herx. Feeling SO good right before leads me to believe maybe my immune system just shut down. Conpletely. And when it woke back up I was in serious trouble.
Listen to your bodies! Some things you can't just push through! And not every worsening of symptoms is a simple herx. Thanks for checking on me :)

Yay! I'm happy you're on the mend! Keep us posted.
One thing I have learned is that there is a huge distinction between healthy concern and fear. Concern is good. Fear is not. Unfortunately, Lyme & co give a lot of us fear, which causes irrational concern and paranoia at times. That is not healthy. However, it is good to question things out of concern. I know it is not always easy to distinguish between the two. You were definitely right to be concerned about
yourself.
We're all rooting for you IHL! :)

Good news IHL!! I hope you'll have more days where you don't feel so scared and worried.
I'm glad your doc is being so attentive too and I hope he'll keep that up.
Get some good rest so your body can recuperate.

You are very resilient IHL, bouncing back and finding your courage after a lot of scary stuff happened to you.
Your doctor sounds fantastic, it is so important to know someone really cares about
how you are doing during treatment. I had such a vascular surgeon, the one who placed my picc line. Something went wrong, and he called me a few days later to ask how I was doing. I couldn't believe it...

I am so glad that your sense of well being is returning. That is huge and I can relate. You say that you are back to the beginning, but I really think you have progressed. You are a step closer to being well.

Glad you are feeling better! Please don't try to overdo it! I know it is hard, but let your body rest and get stronger and it will thank you later, when you will start the abx again! Start your abx in the best possible shape, so you will be able to cope with the treatment.

I picked Saturday to start the diflucan. I'll do that for 3 days and then get back on the abx. I started some supplements but none of the killing ones. So far so good. It can turn on a dime though.
You guys are all so awesome!!!!! I feel so so lucky to have all of this support! I hope when I'm feeling better I can help all of you sometime!
I'm still pretty dang sick, but as I said I am doing a bit better. You guys make me feel a lot better!!!!! Your kindness and encouragement are the best medicine! I just love you all!!

Glad to see you are feeling a bit better. I thought I was going out of my mind during and after the flu bug. So-o-o many old symptoms returned with a vengeance. I am happy you had great support from this forume. Everyone here are fantastic.....and so are you.

Just so that everyone who knows me understands - IHL and I do email each other, so she already has my thoughts and knows what I think. I've been keeping an eye on her
