Mom in hospital..

Hey guys .... some news. Mom was admitted to hospital two days ago. She had a fall... not too bad, there was no fracture, but because of the whole lack of home health services, she was supposed to stay one night. Apparently she had a choking episode while eating jello, which then prompted a whole work up for that. Bottom line, she failed a swallow test and is staying through the weekend until another test can be perforMed. I only imagine this is leading to the gtube. This has been a horrible ordeal for myself and my grandma. I really am hating lyme and life right now.
Sorry for the negativity. I'm just super tired.

I'm glad she didn't break a hip or something, poor gal. I hope they won't find anything else wrong.

I know how you feel. I went through a lot with my folks.

Hang in there. Your grandmother needs you as much as you need her. You're lucky to have her around. Keep us posted and I'll pray for her.

Thank you guys. All I want is for her to come home so we can get started on the pk protocol. Fingers crossed we can get her home before wednesday.
