What is the deal with "prominent" infections??

How does this work- say you have Lyme and 4 or 5 other infections. What makes one stronger than the other as far as symptoms go?

I'm not sure that there really is an answer to that. It depends on so many things like how many infections, viruses and conditions your body is trying to cope with and how well you detox.

So what makes one infection's symptoms more prominent? It's possible that it's from a combination of toxins and bacterial loads in the body.

I know you were saying some days you have more Bart symptoms and some days are more Lyme symptoms, so they are switching up from day to day. Do you have any symptoms though that are constant, every day, no matter what?

I had only Bartonella symptoms for the whole time I was sick. I started out treating the Lyme and made no progress at all. It wasn't until I started treating the Bartonella that I began to have die-off. Then about 8 months into treatment I suddenly had only Babesia symptoms.. It was really wild, it changed overnight. So then I gradually started incorporating Babesia treatment into my protocol. Over the next 6 months my symptoms would switch between Bart and Babesia, and I'd focus treatment on whichever one I was feeling. Then finally I had my first Lyme symptoms.

This was explained to me like this: the body prioritizes and thus registers symptoms of whatever is your dominant infection. As you make progress treating that infection, others may then replace it as dominant. I heard this called "whittling."

This is info from my doctor plus personal experience plus some ideas I found on this forum.. I'm not 100% on it's accuracy.

I recently read somewhere that your predominant symptoms are from the infection that your immune system thinks is the biggest threat at the time.
