Long time to recover from mycoplasma?

My dad started coughing in desember 2014, and was in and out of the doctor's office several times. He took x-ray, CT etc. but they didn't find anything unusual. After a while he got more and more tired and lost his appetite completely. In the beginning of february he started a new cancer medicine called Xtandi (he has advanced prostate cancer as well) and some of the side effects from this medicine could also be related to his symptoms. So we thought it was the new cancer medicine that caused his symptoms.

In the end of february he went back to the doctor and was diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumoniae. He got antibiotics and got quickly better day for day. He has ended the antibiotics treatment now, but he's still tired and his appetite is still not so good. His cancer doctor believed that the symptoms was a result of the mycoplasma and not the cancer medicine. (His results from the new cancer medicine was also very good).
I've read that it can take a while to recover completely from Mycoplasma, is thta correct? I guess the fact that he probably had it for 2 months before he was diagnozed and got medicines, and that he also has cancer doesn't help speeding up the recovery time. Someone with experience with Mycoplasma?

Ya, mycoplasma is a tough one. I think it is more complex than Lyme, as it can create biofilm a lot faster. Your dad probably has a lot more going on that bacterial overload and cancer. He may need to just pamper ever vital organ in his body. I know you didn't ask for this, but on your journey for medical wisdom, it would be really valuable to learn how all the body systems are connected and how to improve all of them. Lyme and cancer affect our immune systems, but to understand how can really get you ahead. Once immunity is compromised, adrenals get blown out, hormones lose balance, TH1:TH2 gets out of whack, hematology becomes abnormal, liver stagnates, side effects from drugs occur and so on.

It's blood complicated and overwhelming. All I can tell ya is that I really do believe that supporting one system can give a boost to other systems, and that there is always something we can do to help right under our noses.
