Not sure if this Lyme or Sciatica?

I thought I was towards the end of treatment because I have been feeling great. However, last Sunday night my right leg started to feel heavy, Wednesday I had this strange pain in my hip and now my leg is numb/heavy feeling again - it acts up at night when I am trying to go to bed, but today I woke up with this strange sensation. My husband thinks it could be sciatica because I work from home and sit in front of a computer 8+ hours a day. I kind of agree because its all on my Right side. A lot of my numbness/tingling when I was really sick with lyme was all on my left side. How does one tell the difference, Lyme symptom or something else?

It is hard to distinguish between Lyme & co and other injuries. Have you had any prior trauma to your back? If so, sitting might be aggravating things.

I just started taking Suprax, which is in the same class as Rocephin. Among other symptoms, it has brought out sciatica, low back pain radiating down the backs of my legs. Sciatica can be on one or both sides. I have also noticed right hip pain, but the sciatica has been much more prominent. This class of antibiotics is well known for treating Neuro Lyme. It could very well be the Rochepin assuming you're still on it.

Sciatica can cause numbness and tingling. I'm not sure whether it causes the heavy feeling. Either way, the heavy feeling is a neurological symptom and it is possible that the Rocephin is causing your neuro symptoms to flare. It is possibly a herx. The sitting for long hours might be aggravating your nerves as well. You can take breaks and get up and stretch your legs every once in a while. That might help. Of course, it is a great idea to check with your dr.

I was also going to suggest more detox! You read my mind. Haha. Have you tried Pinella? That might help. You can read reviews on Amazon. It might help with your neuro detox and is worth checking out. Either way, I think upping detox in general is a good idea.
