I may very well lose it.

A lot has been going on lately, symptoms have been easing up a tiny bit but it is day to day for me cause the next day I can always have a symptom, trying to be as healthy as I can with the budget I am on, but the big problem here is I am seeing a dermatologist next week because I could have something going on.


As you know, I have never even been diagnosed with lyme yet by blood test because they are disgustingly terrible and inaccurate, and having terrible brain fog among other symptoms lately and it's all just been up and down here and there but now I have a big worry.


I have had a mark on my neck for about a year now that was originally diagnosed as seborrheic keratosis by two doctors, then it started scabing and getting smaller and looks white/clear now and has a couple blood spots on it, this is over the course of the year, I tell my nurse about it and she says to get to the dermatologist that could be very bad!


Now I am so confused, I don't know what to do, I set up an appointment with a derm for next Saturday and now I am fearing a skin cancer diagnosis, if I have to hear that I have cancer or the like I will just jump out the window, I don't think I can really handle any more health stuff at the moment more than what I am already going through.


Maybe I am over thinking it too much(which is what I hope is the case) but with my history of bad luck and illnesses since this little ****** tick bit me, I'm expecting nothing but the worst at this point :( trying to be positive but having a hard time with it all.


Sorry to vent but this is all too much for me to take in at the moment and I'm going crazy now worrying about both this and lyme, ugh it never ends.

Thank you Dancingbear, I am going next week since it was the earliest they had around my area, I guess it won't hurt to wait a week, but it was something I just didn't wanna hear and has me freaking out as of late. Especially with everything else going on it just sucks.

I appreciate that, Garden, and the kind people on this forum, I try to stay off many of the Internet sites cause they induce anxiety for me so I am not around most of my sites that I am a member of a lot, but I appreciate the kindness from others here it is really nice :)


I guess I just need some hope right now that things will be okay, as we all do, it is tough to go through a lot and things can get a lot sometimes and we all just need a bit of hope sometimes but it's hard with the depression and symptoms and all.

I will keep posted thanks, it's just a waiting game at this point and basically praying all will be well, I have had a good amount of bad luck the past year so hopefully the chain doesn't continue on much longer, but I know how life is so I'm not counting on that happening sadly, idk, but thanks for the support all :)

I will try to think positively thank you, just praying at this point, so nervous about it, hopefully it goes well I just feel like I have really bad luck with everything that's been going on the past year so that's why I am negative about it you know? It really sucks. Anyway I guess I will just have to wait and see, thanks again for the replies :)

That nurse should have never said that to you. My sister was told twice by a nurse practitioner and a pa, that she had cancer and she doesn't. They really don't know until it's biopsied. I would say if it's getting smaller it's healing.

You might be amazed at how many people actually have been bitten by a tick or other insect that carries Lyme then!! It's the fastest growing epidemic in the US! According to the information on "Under Our Skin", Lyme is "ten times more prevalent than AIDS, West Nile virus and swine flu combined."

Some are estimating that the 300,000 new cases each year that the CDC now acknowledges is still incredibly low.

So maybe it has nothing at all to do with luck or being unlucky. It just is.
