Hi. I have been experiencing several bad symptoms for a year now. My lymph nodes are reactive in my neck. I also have neck and jaw discomfort. I have chest pains and shortness of breath causing dizziness. Not like I am spinning but like I am going to black out. I have tingling in the face and numbness in my belly area that travels into my chest. I have had almost every test in the book done and told that I am healthy as a horse and that I am having anxiety. I am a hunter and had a tic attached to me bout 6 years ago. I have been told it's anxiety and have been on 2 different anti depressants that did nothing. I am currently taking xanax that calms the symptoms down bout 50% for bout an hour or 2. I also get weak in my legs and arms and very fatigue. Symptoms occur worse after exertion. When I stop working or take a break the symptoms come on very severe! I had a basic Lyme disease test done and came back negative but I say that the 23 KD (igg) was reactive. Does that mean I need further testing? I am desperate! Any answers to my post would b greatly appreciated! Everyday has been a struggle for over a year now. I forgot what a good day feels like

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to say but sounds like Lyme to me. I would start a new post, "Looking for LLMD in your city/state", and we can give you names of doctors who can treat Lyme and you need tested through the Igenex lab in California.

It's good you remember having a tick attached, a lot of us don't remember a tick and most of us didn't get the Bulls eye rash either.

Go ahead and read the very first post, New to Lyme, there is a ton of info that can help you. Go ahead and start detoxing and clean up your diet, no gluten, dairy, sugar and alcohol.

Thanks for the reply. I live in the Pensacola area and am currently looking to find the right person to get proper testing done. It's seems like every doctor I see want to put it off on anxiety... I know my body and feels like I am fighting something! I am pretty much at the point to where I get so bad everyday that I can't even drive due to dizziness. Do u think that it is possible with just having that one strand 23 KD (igg) strand is the only positive?

if you only have one positive band then you have Lyme, regular doctors won't treat it unless your CDC positive and that is 5 bands I believe and then they don't want to give you antibiotics long enough to get rid of the infection. Igenex tests for a lot of different bands and they are more accurate.

Go ahead and start a new post so the heading will alert people to what you want.

Also enable the email address, see the little envelope to the right under your name, if you go back into your profile and enable it then people can email you the names they have of Lyme Literate Medical Doctors (LLMD).

Most of us have ran to many different doctors who find nothing wrong then want to blame it on depression or anxiety and give anti-depressants. It's really hard to get a proper diagnosis unless you see a LLMD. It took me 15 yrs to get diagnosed and others on here it took even longer. I do feel better than I did a few years ago.

Thank u! I enabled my email and made another post! I hope to get some input and get some testing done ASAP! I am getting pretty bad and all I know to do is to take the xanax that they give me. It calms the symptoms down just enough to handle it for a couple hours...

I don't think one possitive band would indicate you have Lyme, it also doesn't mean you don't, then the whole world may have Lyme by that logic, but with those symptoms you probably do. Find a Lyme doc, treat, see how you do.

Also is the shortness of breath causing the dizziness, or do they occur independently of one another. I once thought I was short of breath and then I would get lightheaded, I figured out I was just hyperventilating without realizing it. Just an idea take slow deep breaths when it happens.

The dizziness comes on mostly when I am short of breath and experiencing tingling and numbness. It all occurs at the same time and I never breath heavily. I am always as calm as I can b. My legs and arms get really weak feeling when all the symptoms occur. I have these symptoms constantly from the time I wake up till I go to sleep but it comes on 2 or 3 times a day pretty severe and lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 hours before symptoms are bout cut in half....
