Good evening! I want to find out what everyone is doing for the leg twitches, muscle cramps, and the Restless Leg Syndrome. It is so awful for me when my doctor asked me what were the two worst things my head and eyes hurting so much and that was what I named because it totally does not let me ever get to sleep at night.

He prescribed a patch I believe its Neupro? It works very well; the only problem is I appear to be allergic to the adhesive! It itches the whole time I am wearing it and every time I swap to a new patch I have a little red rashy square and it burns a little to take off but again, it really works wonderfully!

Does anyone have the same symptoms with alternative solutions?

Magnesium helps for me, I use Calm powder. It seems to absorb fine for me since I can tell a difference when I take it. I had twitches and especially my toes curling up, backward toward my head. Vibrations. All that is better now but I get major charley horse cramps when sleeping. Tried everything in the way of supplements but the magnesium is the only thing that helped.
Lots of people have the adhesive allergy. You could ask a pharmacist, possibly you could rub a bit of benadryl cream on the area before you put the patch on? I don't know if it would work or negate the effectiveness of the medication. Some people take requip for RLS.

For the time being, don't eat foods that are a source of glutamate or eat the foods low in glutamate. If it were me, I just wouldn't eat them.

Almost all protein breaks down in the body to glutamate.
