2nd lyme titer

First titer was 1.02 equivocal. Received my 2nd titer results & it is 1.51 positive....I know syphilis can make this titer reactive But my kd23 igm band on my first western blot was reactive & that is specific to lyme correct? I know I asked this before but I have a huge fear of syphilis =\ my vdlr and dark field microscopy test for syphilis were negative but late stage syphilis can show negative on these. If I had a negative fta-abs syphilis test I'd be completely certain it was lyme but doctor won't give me one. I'm trying to ease my mind & hopefully someone knows for certain kd23 igm band can't show positive with syphilis. =( ugh

The 23band is listed as specific to Lyme.

Syphilis is treated with penicillin, azithromycin or doxycycline, so by starting up a treatment for Lyme you would take care of that anyway.

Please remember that Lyme needs to be diagnosed clinically. The tests are not very accurate and should only be used for advisement purposes not as a sole indicator that treatment is needed.

You might find it helpful to start some relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation. All this worry and stress is only going to make things worse for you.
