I read on another post that you tried NUCCA.

Did / do you have ridged muscles? If so did this help?

I've tried everything else but this, since insurance does not cover NUCCA adjustments.

Have shelled out a lot of $ to physical therapists and regular chiros with minimal relief. My Lacross ball and other various trigger point release tools are what keep me moving so far.

I have had the ridged tight muscles and tendinitis just in my elbows.
My neck was so tight and lost so much flexibility and a friend told me about NUCCA so I tried it and it did wonders for me. Got a lot of flexibility back in my neck.

Unfortunately I was living in FLORIDA and they were in WV so I didn't get to do it often but it helped so much. I bet if you could do it more often you would get better results. I am now back in WV but haven't done it in a long time cause I don't feel I need it anymore.

I have turned a lot of people on to it and it has helped all but a few.

Do you take any muscle relaxers? That has helped a lot also.

Nucca is expensive, but its on my list.

Did it help the rest of your body after it helped your spine?

I tried about five muscle relaxers. There was only one that worked without drowsiness, but for some reason, it went up to $100 with my insurance a couple years ago! Its not worth $100.

Hope you don't mind me posting on this thread. I have been going to one for many years.
Since it aligns your spinal cord, it's supposed to balance your nervous system as well - which is important for a healthy body.

Have you googled it? It's very interesting - how the balancing of the atlas aligns the entire spine from top to bottom. Prior to reading up on it - I couldn't see how the slight pressure behind the ear could do anything - even though I experienced results. But it does make sense.

My Dr. just uses his hands - no instruments.

I am fortunate that my treatments are 80% covered- when I was getting treatments two years ago - they were every week for awhile. - then every three weeks. Although if I don't need a treatment when I go, he doesn't charge anything.

I go once a month now and only need treatments about every other visit.He charges $45.00 - is that what yours charges in the U.S.?

First I needed special x-Rays that cost me $400 or $800, that was many yrs ago. The visits are just $40 per visit and I don't know how often they would have me come since I went when I came to WV to visit my parents. I haven't been in a few yrs, before I found out I had Lyme. But it even seemed to help for a few days when I first started with the vertigo/dizziness.

But it did help a lot, I could hardly turn my head the muscles were so tight and this released them.

My step son has had bad headaches for years now and I kept after him to go try it. He finally went about 6-8 months ago and his headaches are far and few. I'm not sure how often he goes.

Also after NUCCA I try PT the feldencris method where they move you around so your body remembers how it used to move. That helped also but I would end up very sore for a few days where NUCCA wouldn't make me feel debilitated.

Oh also I use Flexiril only at night but seems like as I treat I don't feel as tense.

But like Girlie said it just feels like they are tickling beside your ear and mine just used their hands, no instruments.
