Methylated lysine and methionine combine to make carnitine. I don't know of a way carnitine could improve tendons. Tendons would benefit from an alkaline diet that would have more of a tendency to leave divalent cations in a reduced state. Tendons suffer when their building blocks aren't deposited correctly. I'd be doing some experimenting with chrondroitin or hyaluronic acid.
