Doing a bart challenge with Houttuynia

My experience has been that unless you leave everything out--especially anti-inflammation meds, your challenge test will not produce good results. So stay away from Jap. Knotweed etc. if you want your experiment to be controlled. Otherwise it won't be much of an experiment lol

I didn't realize you are still taking anti-inflammatory meds. My experiment was straight forward because I do not take any pain meds. If I don't take ht. or anything at all, I am 99.9% asymptomatic. If I take ht with jap knotweed, I am 99.9% a asymptomatic. Only if I take ht by itself I got hit with pain in the places I mentioned. My kids did not have the same experience, however, except for their eyes. My eyes as well. We get a film on them for a few seconds.

I hope you will figure something out. I was stunned of my findings because I thought I got rid of it. Now I know where it is or at least I think I know, but who can ever be sure?

So I took three doses of 1/4 tsp....no herx yet.

So, I'll continue tomorrow and see what happens.

I might have to switch to Houtt. and Artemisinin, but I think my gut is ok for now (with the azithro. and the rifampin). I might have to add Houtt. anyway.

Well, maybe either bArto resolved with treatment or it is not your main problem? Another possibility is that it may be hidden deep somewhere where ht doesn't reach it OR you have very little left and when it does from ht, is not enough to produce a major herx? Throwing everything at you lol. I don't know if we all can expect to get the same results.

Girlie...even if you don't herx I don't necessarily think that means you don't have Bart. I was just talking to my dr about how some people don't herx. I clearly have lyme--symptoms and clearly positive test. Only one antibiotic has made me herx and none after that...

I've read on Nutramedix site that hout is good against lyme, too. So I am no longer sure if I am hitting Lyme or Barto? Also, I have been abx free for 5 years. Probably the bacteria is coming out of hiding in me more than in people that have been on abx recently, or maybe I do not have as many cysts or biofilms as someone that is still in treatment. It would be interesting to see the result if you add a cyst buster?

Weren't you taking xylitol or grapefruit extract or something for biofilm busters at some point? Or maybe a cyst buster such as Serrapeptase together with the hout, will do the trick? Although I can't be sure what it's hitting. But who cares? As long as it hitting something, I don't care anymore what it is that it is hitting LOL It's impossible to figure it all out!

I do not think using it together with Sida will prove you have barto if you get a herx. Sida hits other Bacteria as well.
