Anger attack on friends...

I think I might be herxing a bit smhair mad hence the sudden anger attack...

I've been under intense treatment for CFS 2,5yrs prior to Lyme treatment, and following that almost 3 yrs under Lyme & co treatment.
People I know are still calling me for help (I tell them I can't), but I can count the help I received in those 5,5 years on one hand. I'm angry and have this very strong urge to call or write people devil

I thought it might be better to come on here and vent instead of throwing a public tantrum...

Vent away, Marie! (public tantrums not advised but they urge is often strong, hey ;) )

I get that feeling, and yes especially when I am herxing. I have always been a 'fixer' of problems, other peoples and my own, and I guess folks have an expectation that a) you don't mind and b) you still can, even when you can't.

I have more recently started turning it back on them mostly by ignoring them (as they have done with me) or staring blankly at them and shrugging (as they have done to me) or just saying 'yeah, I'll sort that' and then not (as they've done to me). It doesn't make me feel any less mad at them, but maybe they'll catch on eventually ???

I hope they get off your case soon -
In the meantime, shout lots on here :)

I know what you mean. My family just doesn't understand how sick I get and they expect me to be bright and happy. To attend ALL family functions and I have to give them a run down on how much progress I have made. (because they are always telling me how well I look so I MUST be feeling better. AHHHHHhhh!) I haven't worked in over a year and there is a reason, but they still insist that I'm okay to go where ever, do whatever it is that they want me to do. And if I bow out and apologize I get guilt tripped! 'Can't you just drive over here and hang out for an hour?' NO! I bloody well can not drive! If I could drive daily I would probably be working wouldn't I? I think just because I look like my old self, besides the premature wrinkles and absence of smile, they think that I'm not that bad off.

Truthfully I sometimes wish I would just flip them all off and tell them where to stick their opinions. But I haven't....not yet anyway. Maybe when I'm feeling up to it. >:)

Luckily, my friends are much more understanding and don't guilt trip. Though they don't really visit either, they promise to but never come. So I have to wait for days that I can handle driving to visit with them.

I know that they all love me and want me to feel better and they think positive thinking will make it happen. I agree to that to a certain point, positive energy will go a long way. But you have to know when to rest and relax. I am not going to get into my car and wrap it around a tree just to try to make their darned parties.

End rant.
