Do hot days make you feel worse?

today was really the first hot day in upstate NY with a high of 88 and sunny and all day iv felt awful and my skin has felt extremely hot , never feels like this . I took 4 ice cold showers today to try and cool down but my skin keeps heating back up on fire and i feel completely out of it, Is it normal with lyme to feel awful in heat like this? I dont get whats going on it freaks me out I keep having to take ice cold showers because I feel so hot when everyone else around me says they are fine.

I had issues with this last summer. This was before I knew I had Lyme. It seemed like the heat just made me nauseous and dizzy. When I got nauseous, I felt doubly terrible and sometimes it would trigger an anxiety attack which put me in the ER, twice.

I'm worried about the warm weather coming up because I don't know what I can handle just yet. There have been a couple of warm nights where I heated up and my heart started racing. I totally prefer the colder weather. I think it'll get better with treatment.

When the weather warms up, it raises our own body temperature as well - which kills off more bacteria, which raises the amount of toxins in our bodies. So it's no wonder we feel bad in the warmer weather.

You should raise the amount of detoxing you do, slowly - but by quite a bit since it's already affecting you to this point.

Heat can definitely aggravate Lyme. It was really warm here last week. I was herxing. I hurt all over the place and felt pretty lousy. It's going to get much hotter here. I didn't tolerate heat before my pre-Lyme explosion. I'm used to living in a mild climate with air conditioning. I have been so spoiled til now! shocked

yeah its awful my skin all day feels like its on fire and still does even though its cooling down, I started doxy again today the original one i dont react too to and went for a short 15 min walk, could a short walk in the sun cause me to have some reaction? I know it says to avoid excessive sun light but i didnt think i was in it that long, my skin isnt red or anything it just has felt like its on fire since 2pm and the cold showers havent helped at all....

Yes. I have felt like that when I have not been out in the sun for very long. A solution is to wear long sleeves and pants. Wear gloves if you think you need them. It's not fun! At first, I did not seem to have that kind of reaction. Over the last month or so, I have become more sensitive. Even if I am not red, I feel like my skin burns after exposure. I wear sunscreen too.

my body loves the heat, I feel better all over. In the winter, I freeze the whole time, my body temp stays below 98.4 and over all I feel like crap. I think it's the fact I can break a sweat working outside in the heat.

My heat tolerance is low too. I wouldn't tolerate living in a hot and humid climate since that affects me the worst. Part of it is that I don't sweat very much. We often get marine air, which makes for a comfortable day since the temp. are usually lower then. I just have to camp out inside when it gets too hot, which I hate to do when it's sunny.
