I would suggest checking out the thread titled "Throw away your Probiotics!" by Heathersdad... please know that he is not actually saying to throw away your probiotics!
There are Alot of posts on the thread regarding probiotics and how helpful they can be during recovery. Pickled/fermented food is also a key factor.
I made some changes after reading the posts... and doing a (cost-free) Nutritional Typing Test by Mercola that i found while researching one of the sites posted.
I started adding small amounts of pickled peppers and saw results almost immediately... the constipation is relieved. But i must say... there are different types of pickled foods for different people (it seems to be most economical to make your own).
