How long does it take to get parasite test results?

I don't know how long it takes, but the stool tests are not very reliable. They have to be done within 20 minutes and we all know that is not the case. So, they will miss most of the parasites as they will disintegrate by the time the lab technician gets to check it. This is according to dr. K.

unless you have an insurance which has an inhouse, lab it generally will be unreliable. I think samples are sometimes frozen during transport.
What i meant by inhouse lab, is that some insurance group or HMO have a lab, where you did a blood draw or a stool sample, when i had "family plan" results of my stool samples were show within a few days of being sent. I dont know how other insurance are. unless u are doing a out of network lab.
