Does anyone get bad costochondritis?

Hello.. I get bad chest pain all on the left side I start thinking breast cancer or heart attack I get checked out and it's always negative my pain has been so bad lately I had to take a medrol dose back. I dont see my llmd till the 26th

Yes I had horrible pain for the whole month of Dec. (left side). I just kept treating and now it seldom hurts. I know how painful and scary it is. Have you had a cardiologist work-up? I know I felt better knowing my heart was structurally ok.

Yes, I had costochondritis back in the 90's. It felt like I was being pulled apart. I also have ganglion cysts and feel that they are related. My gut feeling is that this is caused by a benign protozoal issue that shows itself when other pathogens cause issues. I have a theory, just haven't tested it.

YES! I am not sure if it is Lyme related (as it started up two years before I was bitten by the only tick I remember), but I had this feeling like a belt around my sternum with constant pain the increased and decreased in intensity for about 14 months. None of the doctors ever figured out the source (I had two rheumies say there couldn't be inflammation because of the meds I was on for Crohn's -- which is a dead-wrong assumption). Now it comes and goes but is much less frequent thank goodness.

On the positive side, I've had a full cardio workup and know that no matter all my other problems, at least my heart is strong. :)
