Hey! I need a little help, if you don't mind.. regarding pulsing, treating multiple infections at once. Would really appreciate it.
To begin, I've been using Cowden's protocol for a couple months now (Samento, Banderol, Cumanda, as well as detox tinctures, Serrapeptase, etc). I felt really well, in the beginning. There was a lot of herxing - much less than I expected, but, still, signs of the medicines working. But, after a month or so, I started having these flares, symptoms that I'd call "bad" symptoms, signs of infection. Definitely not what I had come to define as herxing - THOSE symptoms seemed to be diminishing. I'd take the tinctures, not even really feel anything.
So.. I thought maybe it's a problem with coinfections? Added in houttuynia - herxed somewhat, but not as much as others have reported. People say it's really strong, effective, when dealing with Bartonella. Correct? I'm going to continue taking it, but not sure how effective it is for me/if I'm even dealing with Bart.
I've gotten the CSA formula for Babs, but haven't tried it yet.
So, anyway, a couple weeks or so ago, I figured I'd try out a couple of products from a different protocol, and started herxing pretty well off of them. But, just as before, after a few days of using these products, the herxes started to diminish. Not as many "bad" symptoms yet, but still, less herxing.
So, I thought, let's go back to the old tinctures, see how I feel, and I herxed.
Because of this, I'm thinking maybe I'm one of the people that needs to be pulsing.
Now, I've been told that one doesn't necessarily have to be herxing in order to heal. In fact, it's best to avoid it. But, for me, I feel it's a bit too early for me not to be experiencing herxes. I've been sick for 7 years, and my detoxing, while decent, is nowhere near up to par with what I've heard of some of you doing, so there's no way I'm flushing my system out enough to avoid herxing entirely.
I want to be able to pulse, but I don't want to not take one set of tinctures for too long, allowing whatever infections they target to stay alive - because, yes, I'm thinking that these different products are affecting different strains of something (Lyme, whatever).
I've seen people mention, say, taking something for 3 days, day and a half off, then another product for 3 days, or 12 days, 1.5 off, then 12 days on another product. But.. that seems too long in between, to me, even just the 3 days. I feel like whatever damage I'd be doing in those 3 days would be counteracted by me not taking the medicines for the next.. 4 days.
At the same time, I want to be taking the tinctures long enough to be doing damage before switching to the next set of tinctures. Would 2 days on one, then 2 days on another be too little?
This is kind of rushed, cluttered, I know. Sorry.
Again, help's much appreciated.
Thanks, guys!
