How does Lyme affect the heart?

Mine was both tachycardia, the first few months just walking to the mailbox would make it go really fast, 150-160 bpm, I. would wake up with this also. Plus irregular rhythm, felt like a pause then start back up with a big strong beat. I imagine it was PVC's. I did wear a Holter Monitor for a week but they did not comment much on what was actually happening.

This improved with treatment in 1990, but my heart would be the first thing to alert me every few months when I needed to start antibiotics again, and it would improve with a couple weeks of Doxy. I have been on Beta Blockers since then, so now do not get the tachycardia. Still have PVC's that improve with Abx.

Some chest pain over the years, but it mostly felt like inflammation around my heart was affecting the electrical conduction. I probably should see a cardiologist, but what good would it do if they did not understand Lyme? And I work with them every day.

speaking about, i just returned from emergency...

I've felt strange palpitations in my heart for a couple of days. I checked it up today. My EKG was not ok so they gave me an emergency referal to heart clinic.

The evaluated it with ultra sonic, blood work, and more EKG. It turned out that everthing was ok, but it's under constant adrenal stress due to the infection. I also have fever.

It's giving me a great discomfort but i feel pleased to know everthing is ok. I hope this will go away when i get treatment.
