It is so interesting to me... he had access to some of the best healthcare options... and still went thru the same nonsense ... not being diagnosed correctly.

Some of his symptoms may help someone to not feel so alone...

It really is amazing that we're basically on our own with this disease until we can somehow figure out that we have it and start researching the underground world that is lyme disease. I consider myself very lucky that I'm educated in the biology/health field, otherwise I'm positive I'd still be bouncing from doctor to doctor. I can't even fathom how many people are living with this and don't even know it.

That was helpful in many ways....he said " Lyme sucks"! So true...

And that we're basically on our own..so true...

I really identified with his part about depression. Like, how come I feel like this when I'm in such a great place in my life?

Yeah its funny how i found it by accident...

I was grabbing the ILads video done by the nursing student...to help a new person
understand the complicated Lyme mess... and then this video came up automatically afterwards.

Then i watched the smoothie video with the same guy... then another one related to the smoothie... it was very informative.

So glad that others got something out of it as well :)

A very good, informative video for the most part. is we'll spoken… But a few corrections in case one of the newbies decides to view it:

Antibiotics have not been proved ineffective unilaterally. Some people do better on antibiotics, others do not. A better approach is a hybrid approach of antibiotics for the spirochete form, and other protocols (usually herbal) for the cyst and biofilm forms. Spirochetes reproduce, so a consistent course of antibiotics is helpful.

Also, antibiotics have to be used smartly. Antibiotics AND herbal antibiotics/antimicrobials are tough on the gut, if taken orally or systemically, if taken long term or via IV. One dose of antibiotics can wipe out all the good healthy bacteria in your gut, disrupting the gut flora. Since good bacteria help keep yeast/fungus overgrowth in check, one dose of antibiotics can start a difficult path of y/f overgrowth that if left unaddressed long enough, can lead to leaky gut. Your immune system lives mostly in your gut and can be very compromised by leaky gut, which can also lead to systemic y/f overgrowth throughout the body. So, if you take antibiotics and/or herbs, you need to supplement with high doses of multistrain, live probiotics.

Secondly, he states that he had a "Western Blot", which produced a false negative and the took an IGenex and got a "CDC positive" result. But he's confused about what an IGeneX test is. It is also a Western Blot test but what makes it different is that it includes a couple strains of the Borrelia that the other Western Blot tests don't, which were excluded in these tests because of inclusion in a failed vaccination from a decade ago or so…
