minocycline efficay?

Hello everyone
I have started iv rocephine for 6 weeks last july followed by 2 weeks iv azythromycine which i had to stop because of intolerance. then i had a month of nothing and started the eva sapi protovol end of september until presently.I did not see much improvement on this and I augmented treatment with minocyclin( I have only neuro symptoms at this time)so my LLmd said take 2x 200mg doxy but ihave stomach issues (gastritis and aftous ulcer) so i was told to start minocyclin .I did start on the 26 may with half a tablet 50mg increasing to 3/4 tablet after a week and since it went alright i upped the dose to 1 tablet 100mg
My LLMD always prescribes 100mg minocyclin never more.He seem to think this is a sufficient dose.
Anyway i am combining the samento banderol with the abx and also started drinking reishi tea since a month and also take 1capsule of reishi mycelium a day
( this to improve my immune system)
How long does it take before i expect to see an improvement , so that this terrible feeling of malaise can disappear

Hi jackdg - The treatment dose of minocycline is 100 mg twice daily. So, since you're not getting the full amount, it's good that you are using Samento and Banderol alongside it.

Mino is able to penetrate the Blood/Brain barrier, so is effective for CNS infection.

I haven't tried it yet (am wanting too, hoping this week will get a presc. for it) - but many people do well on it.

Regarding improvements - it is different for everyone. Some people notice improvement early on, while others take months.

Most people feel 'something', fairly soon, though - either an improvement, or a herx.
