Treatments

Hi, my mom has Lyme disease and we are wondering about treatments. She has had it for years now, and is now bedridden. She only get's up with help to go to the bathroom. We are in Canada and it's hard to find treatment here because doctors are not informed well about Lyme disease. We managed to find a naturopathic doctor who is treating with intravenous nutrients. We just got a blood test done (The Western Blot) and we are waiting for results. Has anyone else been treated by intravenous nutrients? He also prescribed a protein shake and a vegan shake.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your Mom. We can likely help you find a Lyme literate Naturopathic Doctor that understands how to treat these infections. You can send me an email with the area in which you live (nearest big city, & providence) and I can look through my list to see what I can find. We have another Moderator that I will let know that you are asking about this as well, as she lives in Canada and understands things up there a lot better than someone that lives in the states.

You can also start a new thread titled something like "Looking for LLND in the (insert the nearest larger city & providence) area". Members can email you about the LLMD's that they see in that area if you have your email enabled. We don't allow doctors names to be posted though.


It takes antibacterial and antimicrobial medicines/herbs to treat these infections. No amount of vitamin IV's will overcome a bacterial infection - and the shakes while they may be healthy, surely won't treat infections either. She really needs to be seen my a Lyme literate doctor.
