The dr I saw recently tested me for mold when testing me for Lyme.
He said I have positive IgG bands for 3 different molds. It has been pointed out to me here that mold will interfere with me healing from Lyme.
I don't understand much about
mold. I know what it is but sources etc.
We love I'm a 3 year old home, brand new when bought, we love in Dry West Texas, have since I was 5. This spring is the most moisture we have had in many many years, we have been in a drought for awhile. I'm not sure where the mold would come from. Last year we did have a water well dug, very expensive to do so. Water sources had become an issue so we decided to put our house on the water well, we have not had it tested, we do everything with it other then drink. It does have a brown tint to it and a lake water smell. The time frame for me not felling well and progressing does fit but why nobody else in my family.
My husband is in the process of putting us back on municipal water and off the water well. We aren't sure that it is a contributing factor to my illness but believe it probably doesn't contribute to healing.
Lymie Girl told me that Garden Peace knows about
mold and posted a documentary....can you all give more knowledge on mold and point to the documentary?
Thank you,

I'm no mold expert. I had received an email about
the mold movie and shared it on here. Sorry I'm no help. You'd think I'd know all about
it from living in the Pacific NW!
Are you the only one with Lyme disease? Sorry if you have mentioned that before. Stress has impacted my memory lately.

Does your "LLMD" think you have mold? I don't know enough about
mold testing. However, the best test for mold is the RealTime Laboratories mycotoxin test.
I believe you can buy home test kits for mold too. Check out the differences from brand to brand. They might test for different strains. They have different lab fees. I'm not sure if you can test the water that way.
The documentary Moldy indicated that about
28% of the population has a gene, which makes them more sensitive to mold toxins. Lymies are probably more susceptible to mold issues too.
I do know that a person can have current mold issues from past exposure. I lived in an apartment with mold problems in the past. You can also have mold exposure from pipe leaks and not know it.
The documentary was interesting and informative. I would have liked more detail, but it was a good introduction.

Garden Peace I am the only one I know of so far.
I think my husband has some symptoms but when I ask him about
something he just doesn't really say anything.
Thank you for the video!

I was also thinking it could hit Lymies harder. Hopefully you'll find the answers you need to see if it is contributing to how you feel. Keep us posted.

Lymie Girl the md that is treating me was testing me for mold, he does believe I've had mold exposure and all the questions he asked me pointed in the way of mold. He is an allergist, I don't know.
This is kinda of gross but our toilets do grown black mold type stuff where the water comes into the bowl very quickly, I do clean them often.
We are on a water well and switched over to it about
a year ago so maybe there is some validity to his thinking.
We bath and wash clothes in the water well water, everything but drink and cool with it. We dug up all the pipe and will be back on municipal water in about
a week, curious to see the change.
Thank you,

I hope you get the answers and treatment you need Iheartx. If you have mold issues, it won't resolve solely by removing the source of the mold. It requires treatment.
I hope you figure it out. Learn as much as you can. Ask lots of questions. We will try to help you through this!
Garden Peace~
I think mold is just another illness that lowers our immune system. The more infections we have, the more difficult it becomes to get rid of them. Knowing what is wrong is the most important step. That way, we can get the treatment we need to start feeling well again. We need more awareness.

Thank you Lymie & Mister Mike, my knowledge of Mold exposure is minimal. I really appreciate your information.
I will discuss with Dr.
