I agree w/ Lymie Girl — avoid the versions that have a bunch of unnecessary and potentially aggravating fillers, which also requires you to take more of it for the intended effect. There is a pure form available with some compounding pharmacists - discussed here:
www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3440299Also, as along as you give yourself a buffer of 1 hr after a meal or beverage, medication or supplement before you take any binder, and at least 3 hrs after the binder before taking anything, you should be OK (food/meds, 1 hr, binder, 3 hrs, food/meds). The best approach is to take your killer dose (antibacterial, antiviral, anti fungal) first and then take your binder.
If your killer dose is by pill or something ingested, it takes a little longer to digest and get absorbed through the mucosal GI lining and carried through the body through your blood stream. So if you're extra paranoid, give yourself 4 hrs before taking the binder. If you're dosing via IV, it circulates your body faster.
