From what I know, sometimes the symptoms of lyme disease I believe can be delayed, I know that a lot of people with Lyme's don't experience Erythema Migrans (Bulls eye rash), so having it is usually an obvious sign although many doctors don't seem to be educated enough in Lyme's to recognize it. What usually happens after taking antibiotics is something called the Herxheimer reaction where the bacteria releases more toxins than the body can handle, making the symptoms seem as though they're getting worse. But over time it will get better. Although it's best to watch out for possible reactions to the doxy and not mistake it for Lyme's.
I don't know about
the doses, but I know that Colloidal silver definitely helps with the foggy feeling and heavy headedness, but I wouldn't try that whilst on antibiotics, because it's quite strong.
Can I also mention that, it's just my opinion but I don't understand whether taking probiotics during a course of antibiotics is a good thing, considering that antibiotics means against life and I would of thought that the probiotics being put in would get destroyed by the antibiotics, If you understand where I'm coming from. And whether it'd be better to take them after the course.
Although, there is research that says taking probiotics with antibiotics helps to prevent abx associated diarrhoea. I would take probiotics a few hours after antibiotics rather than before, to help repopulate the gut with good bacteria and promote better flora.
