igenex results for son

I saw this and wanted to addres it right away.

Well, isn't the tics, emotional dysregulation, horrible joint and body aches, lymph node pain, painful heart throbbing enough of a presentation?
What diagnosis has been given? He's expected to just live with all that?

I wonder why the "alternative" doc feels he's been exposed to lyme, but it's not an active infection with the symptoms you are describing.

Honestly, I think you should find a LLMD to evaluate your son...the Igenex test IgM and IgG have enough activity to indicate lyme disease...and add the symptoms.

Please start a new thread titled "Looking for LLM in/near_____" and insert your city/town and State...unless you already know of one to take your son to.

I got my results yesterday and I would have been pregnant with both my kids. So I talked to my pediatrician last week about having my son tested if I came back positive. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and my son had many symptoms. She was fine with it. So we'll get that done soon.

My daughter is an adult and I will have to convince her.

So both my kids had ADHD as well. Does your son take meds for the ADD? I would be concerned about the "heart throbbing" if he is. A ped cardiologist should know about that though.

The tics, body and joint aches are things that are of concern too. Have you talked to the Pediatrician about the tics because that can be an issue with ADD meds too.

Is the "emotional dysregulation" rages? My son would get so mad that the psychologist asked if we had a room that we could remove everything that could be used to hurt himself or anything else. She said to put him in the room and leave him until the rage subsided. Nothing else worked and the rage was instantaneous. He would be fine one minute and the next so angry at 5 he would do physical damage to me and the house.

As he got older, it lessened and until recently I thought he grew out of it. But a couple of weeks ago, it happened again. He is now 15 and it is the first time I've ever really been afraid.

I also wondered about my kids because I would have been exposed when I was 15 or 16, so i went through 2 pregnancies. I reached out and asked questions. With little prompting people told their experiences. I was stunned. I had never considered the rages were anything other than developmental. I showed my husband and he read them. His reaction was Oh, my God.

I would listen to Girlie. Your results merit another look.

Thank you guys. I do really appreciate all of your thoughts. As far as dx. In order from @5 years ago. Severe allergies, Tics, adhd (tried many meds but didn't metabolize them well so we have been off for a good year now and tics are there but minimal), clinically was dx Tourette's when on adhd meds, also a two week bout of OCD and rage that was med-related, anxiety (doing very well for a year), sleep apnea (had t&a but it didn't help; now on cpap), eosinophilic esophagitis. And the last year major body pains/joint pains, an iliac lymph node swollen and painful, and heart pains/throbbing pain-evaluated EKG, 30 day event monitor and deemed normal. Hhv6 titers down from 1:320 to 1:160. Myco pnemoniae positive. I think that's all the dx we have!

He very hyperactive and his emotional dysregulation...that's having trouble with finding the happy medium to anger, excitement, etc...to put it easily. He can rage when he doesn't get his way. He can be extremely defiant as well. He is not an easy child, but is loved tremendously. :))

Not sure, I would definitely take this further. Your son sounds a lot like mine and I'm definitely going to have testing done. I know you ran them once, but I wouldn't let it go. Another poster suggested I use the Olive Leaf for 5 weeks to get any Lyme that might be hiding forced out. I know that some doctors will do a short course antibiotics for the same purpose.

Let us know what happens.
