Hi TXdc!
Welcome to our forum!! I'm so glad you found us!!
You'll notice that it says I edited your 1st post. The only thing I did to your post is add a title so that people would be more inclined to look at this thread and to help others find it while doing a search.
Boy, do I ever know about
chiggers!!! I went out 3 nights ago - quickly - to take the dogs out to potty before bed and silly me thought I'd be okay in the middle of the summer without pants on out there!! I'm paying for it now!! Ugh.
Ticks are far from the only bug that can pass on a Lyme infection.
Chiggers are actually in the same family as spiders and scorpions, and while it's not been "proven" that chiggers can pass on Lyme, spiders do, so I don't see why not chiggers too!
Sorry all, they do NOT want people posting hyperlinks to this page, so you will have to copy and paste this address:

Take a picture of your rash and watch closely for any symptoms. If you notice any symptoms or wish to be evaluated by a Lyme literate MD, let us know and we can likely help you find one. There aren't many in your state, but there are a few!
