Anyone else have low body temperature that went up with treatment?

I was at my doctors the other day and they always take your temperature. I normally run at 97 degrees.

When she took my temp, it was 99 degrees.

The only thing I am doing right now is taking the Olive Leave and I wondered if anyone else had experienced this.

Low body temp isn't terribly unusual for Lyme patients - but if you are consistently at 97 (unless you are running a fever), then you need to consider you might have thyroid issues. A body temp of 97 or lower for 5 days in a row (taken while still in bed) is a large part of how my doctor diagnoses thyroid issues.

I have started showing a higher body temp as well. I have thyroid problems, as Traveler explains can lower temp. So I'm usually 97.3 ish. But now I'm around 99.4. I attribute it to summertime. I live in a pretty comfortable climate but whenever I go out and spend any time in the sun or doing anything physical, my temp goes up very easily and stays there. Also, yeast/fungal issues make you sensitive to higher body temps, which I've found can keep your body temp elevated.

My daughther's body temp went up after having a fever around 103 or 4. It corrected her low thyroid. Her doctor said he's going to continue to check it since she had antibodies to it that could change it again. Hopefully not! He said its common for Lymies.

I have slightly low body temperature - a.m. temp is approx. 36.5 - which I think is 97.7.

We should be 98.6, right?

Mine has not gone up since treatment.

My regular body temperature is 96.8! lumbrokinase seems to make me hotter!

Exact same. I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet but have been running 96-97 for a few weeks. Then I started with a new Olive Leaf extract plus I took andrographis for a while. Symptoms went haywire and my temperature is up to normal, which feels like a fever for me.

So that would explain why you have had such a jump in symptoms.

My temp has been very low since getting Lyme over two years ago. I have high reverse T3 and low free T3. I recently started taking coconut oil and my temp has increased. I've read that it can help with low thyroid in some people.

My "normal" temp has been around 97 as long as I can remember, but since I was likely exposed 35+ years ago at 16 or 17, I don't know if it has always been that low. I do know that it was that low for a very long time before my thyroid ever gave me problems.

My thyroid numbers are in the right range although at one end of the range because that's where I feel best.

My temp only goes up if i'm fighting something, usually bronchitis, but it has been a very long time. Other than that I once got the flu and my temp was 103.

I was curious when I went for an annual exam and my temp was 99, so I have checked it and it is still elevated. I have read in a couple of places that Lyme likes a lower body temperature and wondered if others had seen a temperature rise. That usually indicates the immune system fighting something off. (unless you are doing something like exercise that heats the body).

Since the only thing different is me taking the OLE which has stored things up.

Interesting you mentioned the coconut oil because someone else asked me about it. More things to research.
