Yes, but it's varied in intensity over the years. It was pretty bad, in the beginning. Actually, now that I look back, I had a lot of other ear related symptoms as well - burning, aching, shooting pains, feelings of fluid, lots of stuff. That all came before the tinnitus - guess it was the infection(s) taking root basically.
Anyway, nowadays, as sad as I am to admit, I've sort of grown used to it. But, even so, to be clear, it was definitely worse to start with. It's not just the passage of time making me think that it's better than it was.
I pray that, worst case scenario, something similar happens for you - that it doesn't progress any further and that the sickness decides to focus on other parts of your body while you try to figure treatment out, because, yes, I do think it's possible to get rid of the ringing, along with all (or at least most) of the other crap, given the proper treatment.
Though, that's considering the damage done isn't too severe. I feel like it'd be crazy to say that, at least for some of us, these infections not leaving residual damage isn't a real possibility.
What do I know though? Ha..
