I recently had blood drawn for a lymes test, the first one lymes serology came back positive

the second test lyme index test came back 1.12

the third was the western blot.

The IgG came back negative with but with bands p93,p41,p58,30

and the IgM negative with no bands

I am experiencing lots of headaches, blurred vision, chest pain, arm and hand numbness. and leg pain..also very tired.  the doctor started me on docyclycine and now has stopped telling me I do not have lymes...

can you tell me do I or don't I.. totally confused and in a lot of pain....  do I need to look for other answers.

Make sure you save the lab reports. Having 4 out of 5 positive IgG bands and your symptoms sound like lyme to me. 30 days of Doxy will not do much at all. Get an appointment with a real LLMD trained by ILADS.

Start a new topic "looking for LLMD in (name your city or state)" Make sure to enable private e-mail in your account profile, folks here will send message recommending an LLMD in your area.

Hi Chickee95 - welcome to our community!

I agree with Dancingbear and Tickbite - you really should see a LLMD, because of the positive bands on your test along with the symptoms you are experiencing.

So, as Tickbite said, start a new thread with the subject "Looking for LLMD in/near_____"

Welcome, Chickee95. You're in a really good place for all of your questions and to get some support!

I just want to give you some hope:

1) A Lyme-Literate MD will recognize your symptoms and your positive bands as being strongly indicative of Lyme. You will be treated for more than 30 days if you see an LLMD.

2) Also, the doxycycline should help lift some of your symptoms. You may also have some headaches and nausea with the doxy treatment, as any people find it hard to stomach. But, if you have good luck like many of us do, it will also help lessen your symptoms during the next 30 days. Hopefully that will be enough to hold you together till you can see an LLMD.
