After being on antibiotics for about
nine months, 90% of my symptoms are gone, but some pain in my knees and right hand along with the muscle twitches are still here. So now I am working on boosting my immune system, can it do the rest of the job?

Wow! Congratulations. If those were my only symptoms I'd be ecstatic. The doctors I'm seeing tell me that after the antibiotics have done there job, it is up to my immune system to take over. In any case I'm taking antibiotics and trying to strengthen my immune system at the same time. I'm sure someone else here with. Ore info will share their knowledge. Congrats again and take care.

"Dr. AB MacDonald shows borrelia spirochete chains when in actual fact I suspect they are inside the farmer helminth at the time of the photograph, being harvested for nutrients, like human farmers collect eggs from chickens."
Well, not quite. There is no proof that this is true at all - but if you have some links to share about
it, it would help.
For some people, the immune system can finish up the job, but not for all. There have been too many people that come back here saying they were left in a similar situation and it just didn't work. They relapsed. That's why ILADS recommendations are still to treat 2 months past symptom resolution.
If your doc won't continue abx that long, then you likely should consider an at home herbal protocol to finish up your healing. No one wants to revisit these infections.

Traveler, would you please recommend me which crucial herbs should I buy? Please note that I can not afford protocols like Buhner and stuff

Well, Buhner writes that knotweed and eleutherococcus tincture would be the most minimal treatment in this post:

And I trust his judgement a lot more than mine!! LOL!

Wild Apple,
Interesting, i read some of your blog and will read more later. I am always
open to new ideas when it comes to Lyme, and i have not heard this before.
Again i briefly skimmed your blog, but can you answer a few questions?
1. Do you make the powder yourself from your trees, or purchase it somewhere?
2. Once you started to see improvement did you stop all other abx and herbs, and just do the apple stuff? Or were you exclusively taking just the apple powder?
3. What is your opinion on the powder against active EBV, CMV and other Herpes viruses?
4. You said you passed worms via taking this. How long after first starting the powder did you pass a parasite? I think i read that you continued to pass parasites for a full year on the powder, is that correct?
5. What dose of the powder did you use?
6. Any harsh side effects?
7. How many other people do you know that have tried this?
I am sure that some of that is in your blog but i only had time to skim read some of it, i will look at it later. So if you get a minute to answer those questions i would appreciate it.

Hi Zoner - I too was on antibiotics for about
8 months, and my Dr said as long as I keep my immune system in check, it should take care of the rest. HOWEVER, she said as a precaution, to take some lyme herbs - I was put on Beyond Balance. So as Traveler Said, you need to make sure the infection doesnt pay you a second visit. Beyond Balance is mild but does the job in situations when you are 90% or so healed. I couldn't handle all of the stronger herbs anymore like the byron white formulats because they were too strong, and that was actually a good thing. Beyond Balance is great - check it out!!
oh and also, the muscle twitches for me were still lingering as well - my Dr said it was leftover nerve damage and will diminish in time, and it has dimished ALOT in the past 6 months. I used to have twitches daily, and now maybe only once a week or so.
what type of pain is in your knee and hand? Nerve pain? swelling? you should definitely get to the bottom of that - if you feel great, and no longer sick, then it is most likely just leftover inflammation from the infection. I have that in my right shoulder still.
Don't hesitate to ask me any other questions.....

CHAPELLE, which ones of the Beyond Balance brand do you take? Great to hear you're doing well.

Buhner also recommends cordyceps for immune support. We have been using it for a while now (1/3 tsp 3x daily) and find that it is not has harsh as the ginsengs tend to be.
We get ours from 1stChineseHerbs. Their prices seem to be good.

Regarding antibiotics, you are lucky that you got well with them. I took antibiotics for one year and eight months. Abx only maintained my health presentation. I've gone off of them trying other protocols. I have AB negative blood. People with "A" allele in their bloodtype resist traditional Lyme treatment, Per Dr. Steve Harris. I certainly resisted the antibiotics! 😊 🍀
