Best GSE brand?

Whats the best brand of Grapefruit Seed Extract and is there certain forms that work better (liquid, pill) i dont. Know much about it... and is it a cyst buster? Any info on it is good info for me :-)

My llnd with pharmacy background put me on GSE, specified I to take Davinci brand, I think the dosage was 400mg per pill. I assume he picked this brand for a reason. It is a cyst buster but I'm not sure if it is truly systemic med, as in, does it have wide penetration throughout all the body systems? I'd be interested in hearing if anyone knows if it can broadly hit cysts throughout the body or if it is limited to the gut. Feel like I read that somewhere.

Nutribiotic GSE (comes in liquid or pill) used to be the preferred brand....I don't know anymore.

There was a thread about the GSE being contaminated during processing...and this made it difficult to decide whether or not to take it.

It is supposed to hit cysts throughout the body, not just the gut.

I believe Buhner also stated that he wasn't comfortable with GSE, due to contamination.

oh cool, thanks Girlie! yeah the contamination issue is def something to be aware of. I figure my llnd is aware of this, so hopefully that's why he was adamant about taking Davinci brand. I'll try to remember to ask him about it at my next appointment.

I take the Nutribiotic brand, which is 125 mg per capsule. They also sell it in liquid form. It is my understanding that the controversy over GSE is due to its synthetic nature. Some say it is bad for you.

I'm not crazy about the controversy. However, I'm not crazy about what I have read about Tinidizol and Flagyl either. For me, GSE is much easier to tolerate than Flagyl.

If my doctor ever prescribes Tinidizol and my insurance covers it, I will probably take it for a little while.

If anyone has a safer brand of GSE, I would love to hear about it. For now, I'm going to pulse it. For me, I think the pros outweigh the cons. I always try to research the supplements I try. I do stress at times over meds and supplements. However, I can't get better without treatment.

Thanks everyone! I am actually looking for a natural cyst buster due to the warnings of pharm. Like flagyl tinidizol! I will look into the davinci brand and nutribiotic brand.

I hope it goes well. You can always change things up later if you change your mind. The Nutribiotic is not super expensive.
