The liver is one of the body's main cleansing organs.
As we attack Lyme and Co's, much "toxic debris" is created when the bacteria/protozoa die...and much of that toxic debris gets filtered through the liver.
Since treatment often takes many months (or longer), it makes sense to take things to support the liver and keep it clean.
I haven't done a liver detox specifically (my PCP checks my liver function as part of my monthly thyroid followup and my liver numbers have always been good).
However, per the advice of many ILADS LLMD's and my own, I take milk thistle to support my liver.
