Hi,

Well, my lime test results have finally come in. The interpretation says that if you have two or more of the double starred bands present you are positive for Lyme disease. However, if bands 41 and 83–93 are present as a + then you are considered negative. Does anybody know why this is?

Here are my positive or IND results ( all of the rest of the bands are negative): IGM: **31 IND
**39 IND
** 41 +
66 +
** 83-93 +

IGG: ** 31 IND
** 41 IND

I greatly appreciate your thoughts on these test results. I was surprised to see that IGenex gave me an overall negative for Lyme with this many positives and indeterminates.

Without seeing what IGENEX said, I assume that they indicated that you are negative if only 41 and 83-93 are positive. However, bands 39 and 83-93 are Lyme specific. You should look at the IND as positive because you registered an antibody response to a Lyme specific band. You can't be sort of pregnant. Either you are or you are not. Your body produced some level of antibodies there. If Band 39 was a +, you would be IGENEX positive.

Have you found an LLMD? If you want help with that, please let us know.

Although it isn't an 'official' Igenex Positive - you have more than enough activity - to see this as a positive.

If you have symptoms of lyme disease, coupled with these test results - you should be treated for lyme disease.

I wouldn't wait any longer - if you don't have an appt. scheduled, you should be looking for a LLMD - as Lymie Girl said, we can help with that.

Thank you for your feedback. I definitely feel positive for Lyme disease and have been seeking treatment with a holistic doctor.

I am very interested in your recommendations of LLMD's. Please let me know of the very best doctors you can recommend. I have the ability to travel and will go anywhere in the country to find the best treatment. I would prefer to be treated with herbs rather than antibiotics.

I agree with Girlie and Lymie Girl - you have Lyme and need treatment.

ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) is cutting edge for Lyme diagnosis and treatment. You want to see a LLMD or LLND trained by ILADS.

If you'd like to explore other options, it would be best for you to start a new thread titled something like "looking for LLMD in (insert the geographical area that works for you)"

You'll also need to enable your email option so people can send you emails with contact info. We do not share doctor contact info in the open forum for privacy reasons.

The email option can be found in your profile. Go to "edit profile" and click "show my email address".

For more resources to find a LLMD:

You can start a new thread titled something like "Looking for LLMD in the (insert the nearest larger city & state) area". Members can email you about the LLMD's that they see in that area if you have your email enabled. We don't allow doctors names to be posted though.
