Hi unefaune - welcome to our community!
I am a fellow BC'er. (I love the Okanagan)
Yes, you are right - the doxy should be 200 mg twice daily. Maybe if you print off the Lyme Disease Treatment Guidelines - or at least the page that have the antibiotic doses - you could bring that to your GP and get an increase.
I see a LLND in Richmond - who is licensed to prescribe antibiotics. There is another LLND in Surrey.
The Victoria Lyme Group facilitator gave me a name of a ND who works in both Maple Ridge and Vernon...who has quite a lot of experience and she believes he is now ILADS trained.
The one I see in Richmond has the most experience.
If you send me an email, I can give you the names...and I have the phone numbers for the one in
Surrey and Richmond.
I have also spoken to Dr. M. here in B.C. (A very nice man)
Here is the link to the Treatment Guidelines: (Scroll down to page 18 for the antibiotic doses:)
